For patients with GHI or The Empire Plan (NYSHIP)
the following change is effective January 1, 2016:
For new claims in 2016, patients will purchase sessions according to our private-pay fee schedule and will be directly reimbursed by their carrier. No need to come back with checks and paperwork! This simplifies the process and ensures that we can continue to provide the best care and attention to our patients. We will continue to submit bills, authorization requests, medical records and necessary correspondence to these insurance carriers.
For patients that are continuing their care from 2015, your existing arrangement will be honored until a new evaluation is needed.
